The Wedding of Hori and Meg

This weekend I was a guest at a wedding in the Coromandel instead of the photographer, so I thought it'd be a great opportunity to try out the video capabilities of my D90 without any pressure.

It was a great relaxed wedding, and Cath and I both enjoyed it very much. Thanks for inviting us Meg and Hori.

Here is the result of my tinkering attempt at the new photography/videography with cameras that can, which has been dubbed 'fusion' in it's early stages. I don't have any great video editing software presently, so it was done using the generic windows programme. (you can make it full screen, this is not the full res version. Full res is too big a file to upload and stream, 1.7GB)

It's beginning to feel a little bit like......

.......CHRISTMAS!!!!!

It's on it's way, not long now, about 14 sleeps I think.

We put up our tree tonight, isn't it great? (looks way better in real life)

I just thought that if we kept putting it off any longer we'd wake up on Christmas morning with no tree, and we can't have that. So when we got home, we popped down to the local New World supermarket, loaded up on a nice fibre optic tree and some baubleage, and then to the refrain of Christmas music from Caths' Christmas compilation, we put up our tree. Even with our families on the other side of the world, I think it's still important that we have some kind of festive feeling in the Chrissie season.

Now we just need to get an angel or a star for the top, and some tinsel and we're ready!

Hope you have all got your Christmas spirit going and are bringing out the trees and the stockings and what not.

Till next post....

Gidday Mates!! ;-)

Well....Cath was right, Sydney is awesome!! We went to Sydney-Australia for the weekend, and just being able to say THAT is pretty damn cool!

I was half asleep most of the time because we stayed at a YHA where it seemed the main meeting/drinking area was under our window (how old do I sound?), so every night till past 3am all the other travellers would congregate and get LOUD! Fair play to them....but I need my beauty sleep for sure....I also need it for the anti-grump agent it contains.

Anyway, here are some photos from the trip....enjoy. (Click on a pic to see the bigger version)

Cath and I, the intrepid backpackers shortly after our arrival. First time for me to see the Opera house.

The land Down Under

Well, today is my Friday...love it!! Cath and I are heading to Sydney - Australia for 4 days tomorrow morning bright and early. Looking forward to it as I haven't been to Sydney yet. I'll post some pics on here when I get back, can't wait to see the Opera house.

Last night I also booked Tamryn and Bernard for their wedding at Auckland Zoo in March. I know!!! How cool is that. After hours wedding at the zoo, we are going to get some awesome images, and they are a fun couple that I reckon I will have a blast photographing.

Hope everyone here has a great weekend, see you soon! :-)
